As preparations for the 2026/27 season gather pace, Manchester City Football Club has embarked on its Asia pre-season tour. As a strategic partner of Manchester City, Unilumin is once again joining forces with one of the world’s leading football clubs, bringing cutting-edge LED display technology to the global sports stage.
Over the course of the tour, Manchester City will play three matches across Hong Kong and Seoul. The team opened its Asian campaign against Inter Milan at Hong Kong’s Kai Tak Sports Park on August 1, before travelling to Seoul to face the K League All-Stars on August 5 and Atlético de Madrid on August 9.
Unilumin LED Powers an Immersive Experience at Kai Tak Sports Park
As the venue for the Hong Kong fixture, Kai Tak Sports Park represents a major milestone in Hong Kong’s ambition to establish itself as a leading international destination for major sporting events. Its core venues include a 50,000-seat main stadium, a 10,000-seat indoor arena and a 5,000-seat youth sports ground. The complex is designed to host world-class sporting competitions, large-scale entertainment events and a wide range of public sports and leisure activities.
At this landmark international sports complex, Unilumin has delivered a high-standard LED display solution to support dynamic event presentation and enhance the overall spectator experience.
Unilumin supplied approximately 1,200 sqm of LED displays and supporting systems across Kai Tak Sports Park, including perimeter displays, outdoor advertising screens and display control systems. During the 15th National Games of the People’s Republic of China, these solutions provided professional display and lighting support for sporting events such as rugby, handball and fencing, helping the venue deliver high-quality visual experiences across a wide range of event scenarios.
